Curls out of control! what are the best products?

im 14 and i have hair tht is about an inch below my shoulders when dry it is curly but like really wavy but it never lays right! it just poofs up! I use Aveda and neutrogina products now but they dont really work the greatest my hair is frizzy and poofy. how do i mke it lay nicely and look good? oh and i get hair cuts at the Aveada store to so they are good hair cuts also. i need help!
