Lost my singing voice... permanent?

i got drunk 2 or 3 months ago and apparently sang so haard i woke up and couldnt sing anymore. its 1/8/11 and still cant sing, i test it out once in a while and the higher notes are gone. ive yelled, drank and smoked since then having no clue i could be worsening it! please tell me if im silent for a week and keep hydrated itll come back, singing is my life!!
